10-Week Cooking Experience for Kids (Ages 9–12)

  • Real, hands-on cooking skills

  • Confidence and independence in the kitchen

  • Exposure to whole, real foods

  • A positive, lasting relationship with food

  • A sense of pride in what they create

For the first time, Spaghetti Tree Chef is offering a 10-week after school cooking experience for kids ages 9–12.

Held at the Okotoks Freemason Hall, this program is designed to give kids the time and space to truly grow in the kitchen - building confidence, developing real skills, and creating a meaningful connection with food.

Over 10 weeks, students will gain hands-on experience preparing a variety of recipes using whole, real ingredients, while learning how to move comfortably and confidently in the kitchen.

Why This Experience is Different

Real Skill Building

This isn’t about following a recipe once - it’s about learning skills that stick. Kids will build confidence through repetition, practice, and hands-on experience week after week.

Confidence & Independence

As students become more comfortable in the kitchen, they begin to take ownership - gaining independence and pride in what they create.

A Lasting Relationship with Food

Through working with real ingredients and preparing food from scratch, kids begin to shift how they see and interact with food in their everyday lives.

Why This Matters
Because what happens in the kitchen doesn't stay in the kitchen.

This has always been about more than cooking.

It’s about helping kids feel capable, confident, and connected - skills that carry beyond the kitchen and back into the home.

This 10-week format allows for something deeper:
consistency, familiarity, and real growth over time.
